🎉 Congratulations to the Egan family on celebrating 40 years of trading in Horse and Jockey! 🎉What began as a local bar in 1986 has grown into one of Tipperary's best-loved hospitality destinations.Over the past four decades, the business has continued to evolve.
In 1998, the first phase of the hotel opened, adding 32 bedrooms, Silks Restaurant, and in 1999 The Gift Horse Gallery, founded by Dorothy Egan, whose passion for retail and beautiful homewares has made it a favourite with visitors.In 2006, the hotel expanded once again with the addition of a spa, hair salon, leisure centre and pool, conference facilities, the 200-seat Derrynaflan Theatre, two coffee bars, and The Bakery Artisan Food Store, showcasing delicious baked goods made in-house.
Through every stage of its journey, the Horse and Jockey has remained a welcoming destination for locals, visitors, and travellers alike.
